18th Annual (2013) / Re: 13-July-2013 seven days and a wake up

Finally getting a chance to jump on here and commend you guys on another great event. It was only our second year attending and we had a great time once again. The obstacle course set up was great, the double lane rock trail was a great idea, well  I could go on forever with many praises but you get the point, ha ha. We had a sweet spot set up next to the show field to camp and really enjoyed the show. Now it's another year of promising to my kids, "YES, we are going to York for the Jeep show" LOL. Thanks again guys, your hard work is truly creating memories and probably future "jeepers", wellll... At least 3 more that I know of ;)

Why on earth would you want to stay at a hotel, when there are so many perfectly fine camping sites at the fairgrounds, lol. Finally made it down for our first visit last year and my daughters haven't stopped asking about this years. It had a great impact on them, the while deal, camping, show & shine, the obstacle course.  Looking forward to returning this summer.

Pictures look great! Any chance you captured a photo of my Jeep while we were on the obstacle course. I searched what you posted but was hoping maybe you had some more that weren't posted?

Introductions / Hello from Wilkes Barre

First, let me give a huge thanks to Rick for helping me get access to the forum. Lets just say I might have lowered the learning curve on creating an account  ::). Anyway, I brought my family to our first trip down to the show last month and we all loved it.   Can't wait until next years event. Kinda a newbie to taking my XJ off of the pavement, used to toy around with Fords and a few years back was involved with mud racing, so not  completely green. Hoping to get out on  some of the trail rides advertised during the show. And those classes (101 & 201)  at Rausch look like a good Idea. Another thing, yes, the CHEWIE nickname is a reference to CHEWBACCA as bequeath? to me by my fellow hockey playing buddies. I play Goal and enjoy a ice cold 'hockey soda' after playing.
