Rotors....

Ok....are the rotors on a 2004 Jeep Cherokee turn-able?  I really dont want to replace them....

   Depending on their condition (how much metal is left, whether they're wrapped, etc.), just like other disc rotors.

It is physically possible to machine the rotors.  Weather they are still useable is they key.  They will need to be measured to be sure.  Not to say that if there is a pulsation that you will be able to remove the pulsation, and keep them within specs.  Most shops charge $20-$25 each to turn them.  For a few $$ more, you can replace them.  Up to you.

the reason I asked was an Audi A6 we had as well as our Land Rover, when it's time for brakes, the rotors get replaced....you cant turn them....they put them on like right at min spec for weight reduction from what I was told....

Was just wondering if Jeep did/does the same crap

 I found the best thing to do is go to NAPA get their best rotors and pads. These work much better than stock. Turning my rotors only helped for a little while then the problems came back. May cost a few bucks more for the NAPA set but well worth the money.

You should be on, as long as there is enough material to cut.
