I had to tighten a front wheel bearing in the parking lot at work on the CJ.

I was just glad the bearings weren't grenaded. Although that would have made quite the scene as I fixed it then and there.

In order to get the Club RTI ramp for the Adams Jeep Jam tomorrow my CJ made it's way off the trailer for the first time in 15 months.
WOW...that's an accomplishment...let's see what it does on a trail ride now.

Finished welding my exhaust and sea foamed the hell out of my Jeep, and it seems all my problems went away.

Alright, I dumped a ton of money into my Jeep in the last 2 days. I bought plug wires, cap, rotor, TPS, Crank Position Sensor, and nothing fixed my problem. So on a hunch I replaced my fuel pump, which was brand spanking new (no warranty cuz I didn't get the little sock with it) and that fixed my problem. So over the last 2 days I spent all but 300 dollars on my Jeep.

Flushed and filled with new coolant, installed a new thermostat, and took the stinkin' cover off my winch. It now runs BELOW the 210* mark. Best of all, I didn't need to get a new radiator...to the tune of $500+.   8)

Now I'm going to go give it a good lube. Ewww, that sounds dirty...I need to get a shower now.   >:D

Attempted to exercise the demons that inhabit my 1981 CJs steering column.  I failed and lost a spring (horn) to the lawn monster.

After owning my TJ for 8+ years, I FINALLY ditched the fugly bugshield that the P.O. had installed. The only reason why I didn't ditch it before now is that the paint underneath the shield was boogered-up due to the shield vibrating against the hood. I sanded the nose of the hood and sprayed it with black truckbed liner. At least the nose will still have some protection...and that stoopid-a$$ bugshield is history! Hated that damn thing...  >:(

Stimulating the economy again. Got the following put on at Hoak's this week:

Slip Yoke Eliminator
Tom Woody Rear Driveshaft
Rubicon Express Track Bar
BDS Rear Upper Adjustable Control Arms
Shift Link Repair Kit
Transfer Case Chain
Transfer Case Range Fork
Front Hub Assembly
Front U-Joints
Spider Gears

I just went in for the Slip Yoke and Driveshaft, but apparently the other stuff was either broken or warn to the point of repair. My spider gears were actually missing some teeth and my range fork was bent. I guess after 95,000 miles and some hard wheeling, things are bound to wear out. I should be good to go for a while now.

Gaaaaaa,, now the red 1982 is having steering column issues!  My key no longer actuates the ignition switch and little pieces are falling out of the column (its a tilt wheel)
