Tppk the roof off the 1982 scrambler (full hard top)  found a mouse den under the back seat (with little mice)  shoveled the jeep out.  Figured on driving it down to Mt Zion (pay for 2005s inspection)to run while running errands.  Some how a gremlin too over and I spent the better part of 6 hours trying to make it start,  I failed.  Its is under a tarp in the front yard right now.  Oh and ordered replacement ignition lock cylinder from quardratech and still can't get teh &*(^*%&*^(* original out of the column.

Status of jeeps is this:

!946 cj2a,  will not run fuel related, suspect bad gas tank and lines:  can't afford replacements right now and fed up[ with it.

1981  Steering column is laying all over the floor boards and still can't get the (*^*^*(&( lock cylinder out.  Parts ordered

1982 Will not start, at a loss as to why,  changed nearly everything out with the 1981 and it still will not work.

2005 cost me the better part of $1000 to make legal for inspection,  New down pipe and cat was $795  + $315 installation and inspection +$158 for a fine for not having a current emissions sticker.

Ready  to set them all on fire and ride a bike in frustration

After Monday's bee-atch of a storm (3 1/2" of rain here in Columbia), I was greeted by an inch of rainwater on my passenger floor. My guess is that the PO (from many years ago) laid the windsheild over and it leaked around the cowl someswheres...the side-window and door gaskets are fine. Got the bilge sponge out of my kayak and sopped it up, peeled back the carpet, and discovered some surface rust on the pan. I wirebrushed the rusty areas and treated it with some-kinda rust converter goop.  Now I'm thinking...yeah, I know, playing with tools that I don't know how to use properly...should I peel all of the carpet and lay down some Rhinoliner or some comparable coating? Or should I just throw some paint on it and call it "done"? Floorpan is solid, carpet is in excellent shape. Any idears?

Finally got the ($%^%^^)   lock cylinder out of the column,  I kind of hope that I did not break anything important.  UPS dropped off replacement parts from Quadratec.  I bought a new ignition modular for the 1982, I just need to find it now (believe it or not,  I have never changed that out on any Jeep),  and its is the only piece I have NOT changed out yet.

Flat towed Old Yeller to up-state PA for the Great Willys Picnic on Sunday. Borrowed the wife's 2008 Libby and used it as a tow rig... did surprisingly well!  ;D

There were close to 50 different Willys vehicles present... military and CJ's, Foward Control, Jeepsters, and so on! Hope we get this kind of turn-out for the Mason Dixon Gathering this October!  ;)
