Mike and Ron,

Excellent advice from both of you. I plan on stretching out the cable this weekend in the back yard. I also understand it's good to

run the winch a couple times a month to keep the brushes free and working well.

No Mike, I'm not planning on getting stuck! It's for the folks that try to follow me. ;D

Jack, My Jeep can turn around. ;) Besides, that why I have tow points in the rear.

Ted, Good to go on trail 13.

Jenn, I have guided some rides this year....and I may take one or two out next year too. Although the Jeeps getting too nice to get dirty.

Almost forgot.....I installed the hi-lift mount and the hi-lift on the rear bumper, added the Rokmen frame tie-ins and test drove it to the Beer Distributor. 8)

After Scott G. suggested the tie-ins I checked them out, they are some heavy pieces of metal...I had to have them. They are much beefier than what comes with the bumper!

That's funny Hillbilly ;D Jenn does get in some "interesting" situations on the "green trails" sometimes. She knows that  she is always going to have someone to help her out in these situations ;) Besides I "owed"  her one from when my jeep was STOCK and it would'nt climb a small muddy hill :-X

Been there done that Dave.
Many times I don't "lock-in" until I am stuck.
The little CJ will go pretty far in 2wd...amazes me sometimes, so I find it hard NOT to keep doing it  :D
I just have to get her running again, hopefully by spring it will hit the trail.
This winter is not going to happen, I'm not turning wrenches in 20-30 degree weather unless I'm on the trail.
Being in the driveway it will sit until spring...PERIOD!

Went out and got a set of 33x12.50R15 tires for my Jeep today. My question is, will the 12.50s fit on my stock Cherokee rims? For what I paid for the tires, I figured I could always turn around and resell them.

I think your rims are 15x7 so yes they will fit. They fit better on a 8" rim but I'm running ours on 7s . They won't fit on your xj with out a considerable lift and sheet metal triming

They will fit your stock rims (Cherokee rims are 15x7, 5.25 backspace), but they won't fit (bolt up to) your rear axle w/o a 1" minimum spacer. I use 1" spacers, on an 8" rim with a 5" backspace, and there's still a little (very little) room to spare so I assume that would work for you too, seeing that your side walls would be "sucked-in" another 1/2".
Even if they did fit under your Jeep you'd lose a good bit of turning radius because of the front tire rubbing against your Lower Control Arms. Something else to think about... as you lift you rig you also raise the CoG and, without also giving it a wider stance, you make it susceptible to the dreaded "flop" :o

I didn't know I need a spacer, dang. I new about the fronts, but not the back. Maybe I will sell them and buy 10.50s. Would those fit better?

I ran 32x11.50x15's on stock TJ rims (15x8  5" BS) and they fit fine, but as I said, they rubbed in the front, so my turns were a lot wider. OK for the street, but not on tight trails.
Why not just buy some aftermarket rims with less backspacing. or.... Charlie has some 33x10.50x15's  I believe if you offered him a Huge amount of $$ he might be willing to part with 'em.

I have four 33x10.50 BFG muds on wheels for $100, they will probably pass inspection. They have about 20 to 25% tread.
