Mike.

I'd like some pictures posted of the trailer.....please. ;)

Here is a cell phone pic I took of it when I got it home on Saturday. It's going to need a good bit of work, but the seller gave me a replacement panel for the bed, a spare axle, springs and some other parts. I think it will look good behind any one of the Jeeps!  ;D

Mike,

That makes me miss my 55 M38A1 and 53 trailer - all decked out in proper Marine Corps Forest Green!  But, I couldn't have as much fun with them as I do with my TJ (read as I don't mind beating up the TJ).

Finished the front axle U-joints and did not lose any more skin :P  This was a great way to fight off the effects of the turkey and fixin's. ;D

Man, when those things get rusty, the job is just a lot more difficult.  I said this before, but it bears repeating:  For those of you who have not done this, it's not the same as fixing a drive shaft U-joint.  I would not want to do this on the trail.  Check 'em and replace 'em if needed before hitting the trail!

Mike, those trailers are simply awesome and hard to find somebody willing to part with them.

That axle is better than the D35... :D and it's mounted to a trailer... :D :D :D

Me and some buddys took the Cherokee out too 2 different mud holes, one called "The Pit", the other called "The Washtub", my Jeep did very good in both of them, we have videos, and a few pictures, as soon as I get them uploaded I will post them.

Now mind you, my Jeep is 100% STOCK, and the mud and stuff we went through people bring there lifted Jeeps and trucks to. But I wasn't going to let a stock Jeep stop me from going through it. :P

After that, my alt fried, so I had to replace it. :P

Greased the U-joints today.  Nothing special.

It's going to take a good bit of work to restore it, but I am glad I found one!

The axle is pretty solid... and I got a spare with it!

Tuna: Nice winch! You plan on getting stuck, now that you can run with the big Jeeps?  :-*

NOTE: Be sure to stretch that cable before you have to depend on it on the trails. When I got mine, I spooled it out all the way down to like the first 10 wraps of the drum and then pulled the YJ up a small hill and then let it back down. It spools back pretty nicely the first time... then after you actually use it you're not gonna care how pretty it is!  ;)

Mike, good call on the respool, that is something you should do after every use! You should also set the winch in free spool and run the motor every once in awhile if you don't use your winch often, this helps keep the brushes clean.   Ron
