Well then, I could have said, "OK, Jack...what do YOU know about what men want"? (Not that there's anything WRONG with that...).  ;D

We should start a late night talk show.  Jay and Dave would be very nervous at the ratings...

I actually don't know who invented that saying.  I know that size didn't matter to Yoda.  Then again, he wasn't exactly a chick magnet, either.  ;)

Yoda? Wow, this thread got off track!  ;)

'Ol Yeller is in the process of getting a tune-up. Can't get the points to adjust right any more. The eccentric screw is at the limit. Boot on the coil wire is cracked, plugs are a wee bit fouled, etc, etc. I think more stuff happens to a low mileage Jeep... just because it isn't driven often enough. Especially with the freakin' old points who like to throw sparks off the side cuz the moisture has made them corrode a bit...! I guess it's been about 3 years since the rebuild, so it's time to freshen the old gal up.

still fighting with the 1946 motor swap,  The OIL FILTER that came on the donor engine is in the way of my alternator and bracket,  I cant get the *(^^%*&%&%* belt on,  frustrating.   Getting ready to put the radiator in it and then start wiring again.  (wiring is what paked this heap 3-4 years ago.

Jeremy:
There were a couple of different bracket set-ups for the Fram C-3 oil filters (assuming that's what the donor had). One bracket is a single wide band around the filter housing. The other set-up was 2 narrower straps that bolted on separately. If you have the 2 band one, you can eliminate the lower band and slide the filter housing up a little bit to (hopefully) clear your alternator bracket.
