Two new Riddler diff covers and a front end alignment.  Now it drives straight again.

Stared at the Jeep for a while today trying to figure out what type of wheels I want to put on it. :-[

I don't like the way black steelies look on my Jeep, but don't want to destroy a set of alloys on the trails either. :-\

What to do?  ???

had to re re-build the stupid bds track bar again. I'm telling you do not buy a bds track bar they do not go back together very well. we use a grinder to the washers to make it fit right. a job that takes a couple of hours took four hours. if i din't need it i would throw it in the trash.

Gathered and added serial number information on my CJ2a  for this site  http://cj-2a.com/parts_list/CJ2A_data.php

OK,  I spent some time with a dremel tool, wire brush, degreaser and a box or rags, That's right,  time for some jeep archeology.  Serial numbers:

ACM body number on  firewall gusset 56943
Frame number:64834
body number 64834
build number 64834
tailgate: obscured by bed liner
engine (original)                          MC96859 , head W5 648   800378 , block z641087-L-W12A-N1-OR-N2   non clock  5-21
engine (1947 donor replacement) J129467,      (head is obscured),         block  641087-L-W3A-N-LR-N2  clock style 6-18

Passed inspection with a new gas cap.  I felt like saying, "Are you SURE that there's nothing else wrong with it"?  ;D
