I took the cabinet to work cause their compressor is much bigger. I can do some things at the house but it really works my compressor.

I have to get back over to T-town and see how far you've come with the 2A!

Played on the roads that were not plowed. Came home and "chained up" to see how the chains would do. I've owned them for about three or four years and never ran them on the road. I played with them around the house, but that's it.
Chain Report: Plowed roads you could tell they were there but the ride was not to bad, these are diamond pattern so its not the bouncing you get from srait cross link chains. The traction on the plowed road was to much to keep it in 4Hi, so I had to take it out to get to the next unplowed track. On the unplowed roads it was hard to explain, you were driving and pushing deep snow but had traction. On a hill that I had a little trouble on without the chains (second gear keeping up momention) with the chains it just walked up in first gear (no momentem needed). On another hill that I could not brake a new path, I had to get into the ruts to keep from backing down, with the chains on walked up breaking a new path with no problem.

Ted,

Did you have them on all 4 or just rear?  I am guessing from having to get out of 4WD on plowed roads, it was all 4?

Haha Ted, drove past your house last night, saw the jeep was missing, and knew what you were doing. Thought about calling you in the morning to make a run to Michaux and run around on the stone roads.

Yes, all four. The traction was kinda of driving on wet roads, you have to push it hard to spin them.

I was using my push bar to run thorugh mounds of snow :P, got a little to confident and got the front of my Jeep stuck into a snow mound. :P All I did was keep going foward and backwards turning the wheel, and I got out :P. O, also going to empty lots and sliding all over the lot. Running in reverse real quick, then cutting the wheel, stuff like that.

Replaced the front wheel bearing, no wiggle now!!! ;D

Pulled the rear driveshaft out and need to buy some U-joints tomorrow.

With any luck I may be ready for the weekend, not sure yet.  :-\

Ted, let me know when you want to run michaux by phone since my computer is still down,  I'll probably be able to go in the Rubicon,

Status of my Jeeps.

1981 cj8 still has a leaking power steering box,  it sits under a tree until I can afford to fix it.

1982 cj8,  blown axle,  sits next to the 1981 under a tree until I can afford to fix it.

1946, cj2,  plowed out the first snow fall of the year, shut down the moment I left the driveway to plow out the mailbox and refuses to restart.  Neighbor pushed it back into the driveway with a backhoe,  I think it is either a one of the following:  blown voltage regulator or faulty ignition switch.  So once again I own a snow plow and ended up shoveling out the driveway.

The LJ rubicon,  I way tailended on Thursday by a sportscar while stopped at a stop sign.  I moved to a adjacent gas station to exchange information, but the drive with a hearty sorry, took off down rt74 S.  Damage to my jeep: tweaked tailgate and a scuff on the bottom of my spare tire.  His car,  mashed in,  way to go hit and run driver.

U-joints purchased. I was a little concerned about the grease zerk placement, looks like they will work fine.

Removed two of the three u-joints from the driveshaft and cleaned it up a bit.

Got all 4 of my front fog lights wired up, then went to my local junk yard and found another Hella light, that I got for free, so Im going to be adding it on the back of the Jeep for a back up light.
