Dad installed a new starter in Wobble today.  The old one had a bad solenoid.  The entire starter unit was only a bit more expensive than ordering a solenoid, which was out of stock where we shop.  Fired it up, and what a difference!

Installed new headlight adjusting screws and nuts, sick of only being able to see 5' in front of me since the lights would only face down with the broken nuts.  I had to order a box of ten but only needed four so if anyone is looking for the adjuster screws and nuts for a Jeep YJ headlight assembly (replaces AMC part numbers 3600 0148, 3600 1966 and 5600 1419) let me know.

Fixed a broken brake drum self adjuster cable....surprised how low the brake pedal went with the broken adjuster...glad it did not brake during a hill decent.

Got it inspected.  I also saw John Meehan's Jeep sitting there at Mt. Zion awaiting its sex-change.  ;D

Put the canvas top back on Old Yeller today and went for a 1st day of Autumn cruise! Found a small gas station outside of Littlestown selling gas without ethanol! I tanked up.  ;D

These vintage engines do not like ethanol. It burns too hot and can ruin the valves. >:D

If you're up in York, AmeriGreen Biofuels (Al's station) at Rt. 30 and 1301 N. Sherman St. sells gas without ethanol, too.

I remember a long time ago hearing about a "find the gnome" contest up there...Did they miss one, or has the contest started up again?

Retapped the 3 rear seat belt bolts, and installed new hardware. Also sprayed WD-40 into the seat belt buckles, now the rear seat belts clip in and out with no problems.  ;D
