Technical Advice and Questions / Re: 2007 JK?
« on: November 30, 2010, 08:49:06 am »
My next question then is what programmer should I get?  The superchip is really expensive,  and I'm not really doing performance upgrades.  I just need to change speedo and odometer.  Also did you turn the ESP off with the programmer or just use the factory toggle?  I'm hoping to have all this lined up for a New Year install.  I appreciate your help and info on this because this is the newest Jeep I have owned, Before this was 81 CJ-8, 79 CJ-7, 78 CJ-7, 75 CJ-5 and a 68 CJ-5.

Technical Advice and Questions / 2007 JK?
« on: October 24, 2010, 10:31:19 am »
I'm putting a 4" lift and 35s on my Jeep.  Will my stock axles hold up?  Will I need to regear?  I have read some people say they have lost overdrive.  Some people have done exactly the same thing aim going to do and say it works perfect for them.  Anyone running a JK with 35s let me know.  I can only read so much I would like to talk to some one who actually knows.  I have 4.10 rears and a dana44

Technical Advice and Questions / Re: Gear Ratio
« on: July 31, 2010, 10:05:40 pm »
I'm almost sure its the old crappy 35,  but Im looking at a Ford 9 for the rear and a Dana44 from a Bronco.  but in the mean time a quick change in gear set may be an option till I blow the damn thing apart.  Did all 4cylinders come with 4.10 rears?  The other option is a 60 and 44from a  FSJ.  Maybe I should just get a M715 and just drive it!

I'm looking at a 95 YJ with a 4 cyl and auto.  If I want to run 35s on this what gears do I need to be running in this to actually make it move and be ok at offroading?

Technical Advice and Questions / 1999 TJ
« on: January 04, 2010, 07:19:21 pm »
Im thinking about buying this 99 TJ.  It has a 4cyl w a 5 speed,  mild lift and 34s.  has 78,000 miles on it and 3.73s in the rears.  How powerless is this Jeep going to be?  The seller says it has some pep but obviously wont smoke the tires off.  44 rear and 30 front.  I never had a Jeep this new and have not driven a Tj either.  Let me know what ya think or know!  ThanksTim

Well lost the 715 by $150.  Anyone know of any local ones for sale?  Would consider a J4000 as well.
