13th Annual (2008) / Re: Thank you PA Jeeps.
« on: July 21, 2008, 04:02:22 pm »
I want to THANK the Jeep Show Chairman for spending ALL year and All his free time planning what I think is the best Jeep Show in the USA! He will have a week of family time then start planning for 2009.

I wish to THANK all the vendors that attended the show. I know the economy isn't the best right now but they still attended. That says something.

I wish to THANK all the volunteers that worked in the heat for 3 days to make this show run. Some of them use their vacation time to come work for free in the hot, humid days of July. Some of them don't even get to take the time to see the show and I don't ever hear any complaining from them.

I wish to THANK our president for making announcements all day, making sure everything is running as planned and taking care of any problems that arise during the show. Hopefully he will regain his voice soon.

I wish to THANK all the soldiers who are away from their home and families, working in the heat constantly so back here in the U.S. we can have a Jeep Show.

Now for those who didn't have a good time I am sorry, if it was that bad don't come back, thanks for your comments we know some people just like to complain and spend their whole life being negative. Sorry we cannot please everyone.

To rebeljeeper: I don't know why you are even complaining you sent me an email or a pm wanting to help, yet never did. Maybe an extra hand could have helped.

To jpwrangler2006: If someone is bashing you in a pm form, don't assume that on a public forum that has members from all over that it is a paying member of the PA Jeeps club. I would also like to see these Pm's and I will be contacting Charlie to verify what you said. I don't know why people would bash you for no reason and no one else has ever complained of this problem. Feel free to email me.

PA Jeeps Membership / Re: Interested in joining the PA Jeep club
« on: April 23, 2008, 07:39:17 am »
I don't think it is to far. We have members from NJ.

You are not required to come to every meeting. We do ask that you volunteer at, at least one event we do.
We wheel most of the time up at Rausch Creek http://www.rauschcreekoffroadpark.org/. But we have a few trips this year like going to Snow Shoe PA and the Pine Barrens NJ.

Technical Advice and Questions / Re: YJ U-Bolt Skids?
« on: February 22, 2008, 08:07:58 am »
Mike you can come over and see them on the rear springs on my YJ. Haven't gotten around to putting on the front ones. I bought them from someone on the fourm a while back. He said he got them out of the Quadratec catalog. Dave said it was not difficult he just cut the old u bolts off and put the new ones on.

Technical Advice and Questions / Re: YJ clutch help
« on: December 30, 2007, 02:56:23 pm »
Hi Joe ,This is Jenn's husband Dave I was with you on the trail ride when all your clutch trouble started. It really sound like there is air in your clutch's hydraulic system.  They can be a major P.I.A. to get all the air out. I have had the best success with stuburn ones by letting it gravity bleed. Sometimes it takes it a while for the flow of fluid to begin once it does you have to make sure the master cylinder doesn't run dry. After you get steady flow close the bleeder than refill . Have someone work the clutch pedal  DON"T pump the pedal at this time, open the bleeder have the pedal person slowly and consistently push the pedal down. While it has a good stream coming from the bleeder close it before the pedal reaches the floor . Do this as many times as necessary to get a good stream. Once you have a good stream ,close the bleeder than check to see how the pedal feels. Bleeding the clutch by pumping the pedal than opening the bleeder can induce air back into the system once the flow stops the key is to close the bleeder BEFORE the flow stops. Hope this helps. Don't let yourself become frustrated as I said they can be a difficult.

I can eat 50 eggs...

I would pay money to see that! That would make for great entertainment at the Jeep show.
