General Discussion / Re: JP Magazine subscription
« on: September 18, 2015, 12:41:41 am »
So I signed up for three year subscription with the vendor by the stage at the show and haven't received any magazines. Did anyone else sign up and have gotten theirs yet?
Does anyone have any contact info for that vendor? He was the older Marine gentleman selling the mags.
See if you can contact the "Jeep Show Chairman" or "Events Director" scroll down to "Officers" .

And you have a Receipt or Invoice?

Maybe try here...       http://www.jpmagazine.com/  Go to bottom of page and under "Company", click on "Contact Us", select "Recipient", then click on "JP Magazine".

20th Annual (2015) / The count on the Obstacle Course
« on: July 29, 2015, 01:07:56 am »
A little news on the Obstacle Course from this years 20th. show. Saturday seemed like a stroll in the woods, had a little rain in the morning for set up, just enough to settle the dust.
The jeeps navigated the course with ease, the dirt and rocks were kind of dry, traction was good.
232 vehicles crossed the log bridge on Saturday, with the spotters doing a very good job, and the drivers watching there spotter, what more could you ask for?  What, you say "More rain Saturday night for a sloppy Sunday."
Well you got it, a hard rain on Saturday night turned a dry course in to a slippery, muddy, sticky, mess, funny how the same mixture can be slippery and sticky at the same time. Come Sunday morning with 6" of water in the Bowl and other sloppy messes around the Course, the wheels started to transfer mud to the rocks and the course was changed up a little. Sunday brought 288 vehicles up and over the hill. Parts started to fail, mounting bolts for steering boxes, drive shafts and mufflers, even a photo album fell out of a jeep, some vehicles needed helped off the rocks. Oh and a new edition I liked very much on the course was the almost full time narrative play by play what was happening, please Sir, come back next year. Thanks to the Green Shirt O. Course Crew for great assistance in navigating the vehicles thought the Course.
PS, I hope the powers to be, let the O. Course crew add water to the bowl next year. It wasn't that much of a muddy mess if any being carried off the Course.

General Discussion / Re: What did you do to your Jeep today?
« on: July 28, 2015, 11:18:57 pm »
Wow with that impact and your up walking around I assume, after sitting on the grass?  Lucky girl.  Looks like your baby took the hit just right to protect you somewhat. It's a shame the DUI didn't go off at the curve on Greenbrier.
Had the DUI tried to pass you on the left as you turned in Aslan Dr. you could have been T-Boned.
PM sent, Bob B.

20th Annual (2015) / Show signs on the Fair Grounds Fence's
« on: July 08, 2015, 01:41:27 am »
OK, as of Tuesday the Pa. Jeeps Inc. Show Signs are up on the fence at three locations, Highland Ave., Carlisle Ave. and Market St.
What with the MUSCLECAR MADNESS SHOW this weekend a lot of Motor Heads will pass though those gates and pay $15.00 to see fast cars standing still, but for much less $, a spectator can come next weekend to The Great "Pa. Jeeps Show" and see, well Jeeps crawling over dirt and rocks and moving about kind of slow. ::)

Is it only on the eastbound side?  Because that's driving away from the fairgrounds.
You are correct, wrong remark on Pa. Jeeps Facebook. I have no account on Facebook so can't adjust.

Now as I drive East on Route 30 heading towards Roosevelt Ave. and round that slight right hand curve, at 40 MPH, the speed limit, if I have not noticed our Advertisement or just missed the cycle for the Jeep Show Add. at that time, by the time it comes around again, if I do not catch the Red Light I will not see our Advertisement.
I think I catch 5 other Advertisements other then ours at this time.

OK, this is what we have, not just one, but three Billboards advertising our show. Each one is on for 8 seconds at a time and one of the three views pop up every 40 seconds. Maybe I should be clearer, one Billboard with three different Advertisements. .

Way to go crew.

Thanks Bob! I don't go that way so don't see it. Does it have any other configurations because we picked more than one....
First time I saw it was Sunday, 6-28-15 around 5:00pm. only one image for 8 seconds then other persons advertisement's, then the same image as before. Watched it for around 10 minutes.
And as I posted here earlier it was not being shown at 6:45pm. Monday, 6-29-15.
I'll have to look Tuesday at what it shows.

(Tattoo) Jack, here's where I park off the grounds.
On Carlisle Springs Road, house with big yard, give $ to young man or older lady, 1/2 block south of K street and then walk short distance in to gate #3. I've been going there the past three years and parking. Here's my fast toy.
