Technical Advice and Questions / dana 44 / cherokee

this may have already been discussed but i cant find it anywhere.   will dana 44's from a wagoneer fit properly under a 84-01 style cherokee.  i know the wag has front leaf springs but will the rear be a "simple" bolt in?

good luck on a d44 from a bone yard been looking  swapped my d35 to an 8.25 got thwe same ratio the only diff is the axle tube is bigger so you need new u bolts  no welding involved rolled one out rolled one in best to get one out of a 96 or later its a stronger version

Technical Advice and Questions / vin breakdown
« on: October 01, 2008, 06:35:14 pm »
does anyone know how the xj vin is brokedown?   also does anyone know if the id plate under the hood breaks down into suspension info.               the place i pull parts removes all the wheels hard to see the rear it would be nice to just pop the hood and look for a number/letter that corresponds.
