Work In Progress / Re: boys got his first jeep
« on: June 16, 2013, 10:11:02 pm »
time for updates, we got everything together and made it to adams jeep jam with little to no issues, but after we were there we were having fuel issues that turned out to be a bad new fuel pump, and the carb piston had a crack in it that didn't squirt right so we nursed it home and blew a high pressure power steering line on the way so we pulled the belt and drove home manual. after we were home installed a new new fuel pump and rebuilt the carb , now she purrs. replaced the high pressure line with a piece of fuel line and BOOM face full of power steering fluid (I still taste it). yeah it was a dumba55 move and I should've known better. bought the correct replacement hose and all is well. the gas gauge still doesn't work as the boy figured out today, lol. (I told him not to be joy riding everywhere) a gallon of gas and he was on his way. all seems to be working well and it will be at the show.   and btw he took second place trail at adams , most people were impressed he actually knew how to fix his own jeep when it broke down.

theres a link on the homepage. but some quick info, located at the York fairgrounds grandstand area, usually over 600 registered jeeps, 75 vendors, guided obstacle course, rti (flex) ramp, of course the show and shine contest. food available onsite as well as primitive camping.
Ian Johnson from Extreme 4x4 will be there this year and so will Jeep Underground with some concept vehicles. one of the largest raffles ive been too. off road demonstrations and just a lot of fun. the cost is $5 to walk in or $40 preregister sat only or $45 preregister both days and both include goody bags. on day registration is $45 sat and $50 sat/sun. even if you just come to see all the jeep involvement and family ness its worth the trip. and in my opinion the largest organized Jeep event that ive seen.

« on: June 13, 2013, 10:01:55 am »
we talk about it at the meetings all the time.  ;), lots of chatter, Ian Johnson will be back this year, new tshirt designs, new trophy designs, its not the TOYOTA arena anymore, Quadratec being bigger this year, JEEP underground will be back, musical entertainment. I painted the jeep, the boys is actually running and driving. and weve talked to just about every Jeep owner within shouting range about the show and a lot of people are syked(?) and ready to go. I think Bantam stole a lot of our excitement because its first, im sure after Bantam is over more people will be chattering. ???

Technical Advice and Questions / Re: Not Starting....

fuel pump or fuel filter, also with sitting for a couple of days the ethanol (water) settles and clogs things so maybe a bottle of cleaner too.
