17th Annual (2012) / Re: Just wanted to voice some anger
« on: July 23, 2012, 04:49:23 pm »
I appreciate the challenge to join the reason I do not is I am unfortunately too busy to enjoy any of the rides or meetings.  I have to take time off work months in advance just to be able to make it to the show.  I would not mind helping out next year if I can do so without joining since I usually take the weekend off anyway.

I am not trying to be selfish.  I was unable to make contact with any of the coordinators that afternoon since I was upset with the issue.  Like I said I have been to every Show here in York since the first.  I am sure since I am local that I will continue to attend.  Although I do believe that the tone in which you responded Rick is kind of uncalled for I was simply trying to bring it to the attention of the staff so that it could be addressed.  Maybe from now on it could be advertised as raffle immediately following the parade.  I am thankful to know that I did not miss any of my numbers since I was there by the first recall.  Hope to have a good show again next year.

I attended both days of the Jeep show as I always have since the very first.  I came back late on Sunday after picking my kids up from home.  I arrived at the stage at 3:45 for the raffle and found that numbers were already being drawn.  This made me and my wife upset since we had purchased several tickets.  We were told and it was advertised that the drawing would occur at 4:00.  As I waited off stage listening to numbers several other people walked up and were voicing their opinions as to why the drawings were already going on since it was not to start till 4:00.  Is there some reason for this since the weather was great.  I and others were upset about this and hopefully it can be corrected.

Technical Advice and Questions / charging/battery problem
« on: September 22, 2010, 06:21:06 pm »
I am having issues with my charging/battery. I have killed my optima red top a few times and charged it. Now I have gone through two alternators in a month or two. I can unhook the main power wire to the battery and the voltage shows 14+. As soon as I touch the positive back to the battery it drop to 11+or-. Is my optima toast or is there another issue here? I wouldnt think it was any thing else because the ground and power circuit are still fully connected the only thing out of the loop is the battery right? Just trying to figure out if its time to get a new battery or something else.

ok looks like i got it fixed.  I pulled the water pump and installed the harmonic balancer.  There is about a 1/8 of an inch of clearance between the timing cover and the balancer.  But the ones I saw today at the PA Jeep show looked really close too.  Then I clearanced the pump a little and test fit it.  It doesnt rub at all so just need to get a new gasket and put it all back together.  Then just pray it starts up and nothing leaks. fingers crossed.

Vendor Feedback / Experiences / TMK automotive

This is a small local shop near York, PA.  They just started doing Scorpion Bed liner.  I had my front and rear bumpers done and they look great.  They can custom match any color, spray it on any surface, its warranteed for life, and can be painted in the normal rough texture or as smooth as a regular paint job.  If anyone wants their info let me know I will post it.

Vendor Feedback / Experiences / A to Z
« on: April 15, 2010, 03:52:27 am »
A to Z just built a dana 44 front for my CJ they did a great job and I am happy with it.  I also had them build me a front bumper.  I told them what I wanted and when I picked it up it was perfect just what I wanted.  It looks great and appears to be very strong.  I would recomend them to anyone.

Technical Advice and Questions / TBI Question 360/HEI
« on: September 24, 2009, 05:50:33 pm »
I just installed a GM TBI setup on my 360 it has a RV style cam and minor mods as well as an HEI Dizzy. I got it running but it seems to idle fine but when I rev up the motor it sounds like it is missing. If i put it in gear and try to drive I have no power at all i cant get above 25mph. I was having back firring issues through the TB at first running off the computer for timing. I no longer have them as I am running the Manual and vacuum advance with the bypass for the timing unplugged. My fuel pressure is between 9-10 which I think is a little low but the injectors seem to push plenty of fuel. Would this cause this issue? Or is it simply a programming issue?  Has anyone else done this or have experience that can figure this out I'm going crazy.
