Vendor Feedback / Experiences / Clayton Offroad
« on: June 17, 2013, 01:01:54 pm »
I purchased a 3 piece long arm kit after speaking with Adam at Clayton Offroad. Once the 3 piece arrived the bridge interfered with the placement of my bulkhead for my front ARB locker. I called Adam who was willing to straighten this out for me. I had taken 3 days vacation to complete the install and test it out so I was really disappointed since this was 2 days before vacation. After speaking with Adam we worked out I drove to their CT shop on that Friday and his team had me a 4 piece kit ready to go. We drove back and installed it on Saturday in time to wheel on Sunday. Hands down the best upgrade I have done on the XJ and one of the best vendors I have ever dealt with.

Vendor Feedback / Experiences / Rough Country
« on: June 17, 2013, 12:50:59 pm »
I purchased a new 9500 winch with synthetic rope from Rough Country. After our 5th time out I encountered an issue with the clutch. I called and spoke to Darant that following Monday. He immediately advised he will be send out a brand new winch with new synthetic rope. He advised I was to keep the used synthetic rope for my troubles before sending back the broken winch. I had the replacement winch in 4 days. Talk about a no hassle warranty.

Installed ARB air lockers both front and rear. Regeared the XJ to 4.56's.
Serious thumbs up. Not only did Mike do an excellent job well within the price ranges I was quoted by several shops, he also had the patience to put up with all my questions. I am very picky on mechanical issues being I am in a trade that does not allow alot of tolerances. All his work looks top notch and no issues with the Jeep.

Detour USA tire carrier. ARB lockers front and rear. Regeared to 4.56's. Changed out the pinion yokes from strap to u-bolt.
Next month upgrades, parts were ordered Friday, Claton Offroad 6.5" coil springs and leaf springs. Bilstein 5100 series shocks all the way around. FST shifter linkage upgrade. Currie joints for the Dana 30.

Introductions / Hello from Baltimore MD
« on: February 17, 2013, 01:16:34 pm »
I am from Baltimore MD. My ride is a '98 XJ 4.0 with 6" lift. I was supposed to head to Rausch with everyone this weekend but my hunting club needed the services of my Jeep. We had to get some of our deer stands out by this weekend and they could not get back on their ATV's so they knew I had a jeep. Needless to say I had a blast and we got all the deer stands out. Had a few doubters when I showed up but not once we were done. Good thing I changed my air intake. Some of those creeks were deep.lol ;D
