If you're putting it on the rear, the yoke from a 231 will work.  May have some clearance issues on the front.

Planning on attending. If we go to AOAA I might be able to find some trails that are blackish.

You could put the intake and carb on the 4.0. Would help cut cost and down time. Will need to slighty modify the intake but it does'nt take very long. If you use the distributor from the 4.2 it will be a bolt in and run. I'm not saying it is the best use of a 4.0, but it is easy and cheap. Jim

This is Grady. I don't have an account for Pa Jeeps yet. I am using my dad's just to give a big thanks to everyone who came out for my senior project. Everything went great (other than the rain). Thanks to the great turn out I managed to raise $763 for Make a Wish Foundation. Hope to see you all at "No Roads Necessary" in November! Thanks again everyone!

Had a lot of fun even with the front axle rebuild demonstration. Thanks Jenn for guiding. Thanks everyone for your help and I look forward to wheeling with you all in the future.

P.S. All but one had to go around the last obstacle.

Have you filled it on the bench to see where it's leaking? Might help to figure out how to stop it.

If the only problem is it not allowing you to transmit then it may be your mic. I'd borrow a buddy's mic and plug in and check that first.

Technical Advice and Questions / Re: Need some opinions

SOA is the best mod I ever did to my YJ. My opinion is to remove the body lift go soa and extend the sway bar. Axle wrap will happen but I'm sure you can make an antiwrap bar. Also I've found that limiting the up travel helps with body roll in the turns. I agree with keeping the cog as low as possible but if you use stock springs it will sit low enough. My jeep doesn't see a lot of road miles (3000-4000) a year, but I think it rides better now than it did before. Steering and braking take a little getting used to but there is give and take I guess. TF727. Not sure on the model of transfer case that has the same spline count as the Dana 300 but there is one that is a direct bolt on.

Thanks Dave. I would have missed it! Jim

Sounds like the ignition module. Drivers side fender under the coolant recovery bottle. Jim
