the motor died on me and i was woundering if the i-6 out of a 96 grand will go right in to 98 xj i think it should i just dont want to go for it and there be some littel dum thing that srews me all up. thats the luck i have been haveing this year

Technical Advice and Questions / power window head ache

the passenger window will go down but not come back up and will not work on the driver side switch at all but every thing elseworks fine. i took the motor out and checked it it goes up and down fine. its like I'm not getting power for it to go up and i changed the passenger switch. Also the lock switch will lock but not unlock it seems as if only half of the switches work. I'm lost so any help would be great
