Here's my question, tell me if I'm reading this right...

Can I have my dog in the campground AND the fairground, as long as he's on a short leash?  I think that's new this year. I hope I read that right, it will save me the added expense of a house-sitter... more money for Jeep Parts!

A very big THANK YOU to Pa Jeeps for another awesome show. The weather couldn't have been better (we camped Fri Sat night) and the show field was HUGE. Our class 6 (Full-size Jeeps) finally had great attendance and I was fortunate enough to win a third place trophy in my class, unlimited.
I want to personally thank the spotters we had on the obstacle course and especially the guy who spotted us on the large rock course. My girlfriend decided she was going to drive my truck (Jeep Honcho on 38's w/4 spd) on the obstacle course and he guided her through the rocks with precision. He got a high-five from her at the end and we were on our way. I was a relaxed passenger because of them all. It's only her second time driving a stick but certainly not the last.

See you all next year!

Stage.  It was our first time up there.  Things will run much smoother next year with set up, placement, parade of Jeeps etc...if there is a next year.

What's the deal with the references to "if there's a next year"?  This is the first time I've heard this mentioned by the announcer in all the years I've been going. Is the comment economy driven or frustration driven? Just curious as I really do feel it's a great show and would hate to see it dissapear.

Just wanted to say "thanks" for another great show this year. I had many questions that were answered professionally and courteously and I thank God for the guy spotting the Honcho (me) on the rocks I decided to try this year. I've been attending the event since 2000 and have been watching it grow larger and larger each year.

I am also a swap meet vendor and am understanding with the layout compared to years past. To all who attended last years show (the biggest and best in my opinion), there should be some understanding that shuffling had to be done in anticipation for the '08 show. Some things were great, some good, and some ok but that's the way you find out what works and what doesn't.

Unfortunately, two major forces hit the show at the same time, the economy and the heat. Both also happen to be out of the control of Pa Jeeps. Common sense told me ahead of time that I may not sell as much as I did last year but I still had a great time. Anyone ever go fishing?  As far as the weather, my first time at the Pa Jeeps show it was a total downpour so it was pretty much a loss. I'll take heat over rain anyday. All the sissy's complaining that it was sooo hot don't know how to find shade or fluids? Ever been to Bloomsburg, Carlisle, Maple Grove Raceway in the summer?  Next time stay home in your AC and keep playing your video games and us real men/women will brave the heat for our favorite pastime.

I will be back next year, I will anticipate the show being bigger and better as usual, and I will let some air out of my tires before I do the rocks again.

Thanks again, JR
