Title: Snow tubing
Post by: Jeepnharleymomma on February 11, 2013, 07:30:50 pm: As you all know from your newsletter Snow Tubing is Saturday Feb 23 at Avalanche Express. I have tickets and will arrive about 10 or 10:30 am.

If you are a PAID member of PA Jeeps you will receive tickets for you, your spouse/ significant other, and children. If you have not paid your dues yet you better get them in the mail if you want to come....as of the meeting there were not that many paid in.

The club will also be providing hot-dogs, marsh-mellows and hot coco.

This is also subject to change depending on weather and how many lanes that are open. I will post Friday before the event if it is canceled. As of right now all lanes are open and its cold!

Post here if your coming and how many tickets you need....

When I look at the weather map i don't see anything showing clouds,rain, or snow, but if you read the forcast on any station they are calling for rain....i have even heard showers in morning and then evening it will be nice.

Post if you can make it on Sunday 24th.....

I work the first weekend in March and I don't know how much farther we can push it out.

The threat of rain is gone for today now. The threat of me having to work Sunday isn't.

In the future, let's consider holding this event earlier in the season. AvalancheXpress opens in December. Not many makeup weeks left now.

We moved it out that far for a reason, February is usually the coldest month. December is already busy enough for people and their families. January they usually don't have all the runs open and its been warmer.

My plan was to get rid of these tickets I have left over and go tubing at Liberty or Round top which is nicer.

The runs were very fast. I made it to the bumper bags on one trip down! I probably went down the hill 13 times, if I counted correctly. It wasn't crowded, either. All that walking up the hill was great exercise, and I'm sure that I'll fall asleep quickly tonight.
