Which jeep model had sub models called Tuxedo Park, Levi's Edition, and Playboy Edition?
Which jeep model had a Maverick edition? (named after the TV show starring James Garner)
And which jeep model was available with the three letter designation "DRW" tacked on to it?
-
OK, since I'm here Dave I'll take a shot...
"Tuxedo Park" - I II II was a CJ5A / IV was a CJ6A (Actually one of these was produced commemorated the LBJ Inaugural Parade) with dash plate.
"Levis Edition" - CJ5 - CJ7 - Honcho - Full Size Cherokee Chief
"Playboy Edition" - CJ5 (Renegade) with Interior & Paint Package
"Maverick Edition" - Dispatch Surrey Model (Rear wheel drive ONLY)
"DRW" - Stands for Duel Rear Wheel and came with the Gladiator for Wreckers/Tow Trucks
-
we have a levis edition. ;D
-
My 79' CJ5 is a "Golden Eagle".....Well, it was at one point in time.
-
The James Garner Maverick edition I'm thinking of is actually an all steel station wagon option.
-
The Maverick Edition was the station wagon. My Classic Jeep calender has it highlighted for May with pictures of Garner looking under the hood of one. According to the write-up, Willy sponsored the show. I read elsewhere the Maverick edition was only available on 2wd's. I'd have to double check that.
DRW was also an option on the FC170.
DRW may have been an option on the CJ-5 / CJ-6 when equipped trencher or backhoe.
