18th Annual (2013) / Re: 21-6-13 Twenty nine days and a wake up

You don't see vendors like that at our Jeep Show any more because it's not what our participants want.
I could jam the place with hundreds of that nature but we're not "all about the money" like Bantam is.

I attended Bantam and have some very disappointing stories. They'll NEVER learn because it's not ran by "Jeepers". They have NO clue.

Yes, a different style of trophy has been selected for this year.
You'll see them on display at the event.

NON PA Jeeps Events / Jeep Jamboree's
« on: June 04, 2013, 05:16:45 am »
Early in the year, our dealership pre-purchased some Jeep Jamboree trips to Penn’s Woods, Coal Mountain and Catskills.  The Penn’s Woods Jamboree is coming up in a little over two weeks, and we still have some spots available.  We need to get rid of these trips by the end of the week.  We have 7 trips remaining.  If you know of anyone who would be interested in going on the Jamboree and purchasing them from us at cost, I would be very grateful.
We pre-purchased the driver’s spots @$295 each.  The cost to add another adult is an additional $295, a child is $125, or you can do the family plan for $750.  These are “Classic” trips, so they include Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.  The trip dates are June 20-22nd.

Thanks so much!

« on: May 19, 2013, 02:21:45 pm »
We've confirmed with Craig at Jeep of their desire to return to our event with more "proto-type" vehicles.

Craig confirmed he'll bring "J-12" / "Lower 40" / 62 Willy's
The others are to be a suprise to us all.

Technical Advice and Questions / Re: dash conversion
« on: May 07, 2013, 04:08:32 pm »
Why would you...?
I've owned many CJ's and I would NEVER place a CJ dash in a TJ.
I'm not even sure it's possible because they are two different animals.

It's like placing "Covered Wagon" parts in a "Cadillac"...Think about it!

I explained everything clearly and in detail in a phone conversation. If it was misprinted then "she" the news writer dropped the ball.

"FREE" is not always the "best" way to go reguardless if they print it 500 times. They may misprint it 500 times.

I tried, they failed. It is what it is and I will follow-up with our concerns.

Technical Advice and Questions / Re: replacing springs
« on: May 01, 2013, 04:29:01 pm »
A 4" body lift is a bit much and agree your should lower that part. But I would replace it with a 2" body lift. Reason being you still want room to get that car wash wand up under there. If you don't have heavy duty skid plating the reason being is to keep your lockers from getting "mucked" up with crud. The Rubicons have two small "low pressure" air lockers for each axle. They breathe and exhaust heat through a small filter. If that filter gets clogged they will not engage when needed. I know I have to drop my plating to clean mine out of my '06 LJ.
