Has anyone done this before, or have some advice on how to do this?
-
I've heard of some people doing this, but I don't think anyone here has yet. Below are some websites for us XJ owners...
Ericsxj.com (http://Ericsxj.com)
naxja.org/ (http://naxja.org/)
cherokeeforum.com/ (http://cherokeeforum.com/)
jeepforum.com/forum/index.php (http://jeepforum.com/forum/index.php)
If there's advice on such doings with XJ's these sites are the ones to look at. BTW, I highly recommend Eric's book, LOTS of ideas and info.

Thanks guys, i was hoping someone on here has done, after reading all the articles on it for the past few weeks i've been debating it. But its just something about cutting up my fenders i don't like, i was hoping someone else on the forum has done that would maybe be interested in helping out to say the least.

I have never done the TJ flares on a XJ. I have moved the front flares up about 2in on a friend XJ. I liked how that turned out.
I have put on BW cutout fender flares and they bring the suck. They have you cut up the rear of the truck with no real way to seal the huge crevice up when your done.
The best looking TJ flair install I have seen have always used 2 sets of rear flares.
The front is easy. The rear is way more work.
Good luck

yeah, that is what i have been hearing, if your going to do it, use two sets of rear flares, but i wanted to use painted ones ie: Sahara flares. i saw an xj that had front and rears and it looked good it was a white one at the jeep show, ive never saw any with both sets of rears on.
