yes the brake pedal switch ,little plastic thingy behind brake pedal, the metal bracket it is connected to. the hole in the bracket is threaded and the switch itself turns. that's also how you get your correct distance adjustment for the brake pedal.

yes its a reverse pressure switch. im not sure but most of them are threaded.

you do NOT want to lift it just replace the springs? is what youre asking right. if so then just get a set of factory replacement springs. if you are afraid of shrinkage then maybe a set of 2" longer springs. do you have the 4 or 6 cylinder, I believe the 6 have stiffer springs.

next update. had to take a break for a while and with a back injury but we got a 97 tj family style roll bar, doors and soft top for it. now we are in the process of pulling and rebuilding the engine. the engine is stripped of heads and intake pulling the block out today and then to find a shop to put the rings and bearings in. hopefully having it ready for adams.  anyone know of a decent garage capable of installing them?

a thermostat only controls when the coolant in the engine is hot enough to flow into the radiator to start cycling. it may make a difference in the winter on the really cold days to when you get heat inside and the engine may take a little longer to warm up. ive driven a couple different breeds of vehicles with no thermostat at all. but thats me.

hey welcome to the forum. if your talking local jeeps check out jeff daniels in harleysville, north of you they build them and might have something on the lot or know of something close. and when you get it you can come to the BIG Jeep show in july at the york fairgrounds.
