Just a feeler for the May 14 ride to also include the go topless day event....we will do a nice easy day of wheeling and find a nice spot for a cook out on the trail. We can make it interesting and everyone come up with some kind of trail food and maybe we can start our own club cook book.
Meet at Rausch by 8am and hit the trail at 830.
Please post if you can make it......
-
we will be there with at least 1 Jeep. What can we bring as far as food?
-
What date were you thinking of for this May ride?
-
may 14th ;D
-
My bad forgot date guess thats kinda important
-
We plan to be there
-
I am planning on taking everyone down on the south side near trail 22 is a lunch spot that will be nice...........
-
Question: is this gonna be the new format for PA Jeeps GTD? If so, (IMO) we are excluding many members that usually show up when its hosted at someone's property. There are members that don't, or very seldom, 'Wheel that will not be able to attend. I can't host it this year, but will throw my name in the hat for next. Isn't there a Park or some place we can hold this?
-
i put my hat in for this year but then the wheeling option came up.
-
Well I didn't get much response from everyone about having this.....If you all want i will gladly find someplace to go so non wheelers can attend. Let me know asap
-
Do we still have the meeting room that day?
-
What other suggestions do we have for the 14th?
-
This is a scheduled ride on the calendar .......so I am just going to do a blue trail ride day.....we will have lunch in celebration of go topless day on the trail.
Anyone wishing to get together for a go topless day other then on the trial why don't you all meet at a restaurant close to meeting place. So post if you wish to have a picnic in a area restaurant or if you will be going trail riding with me.
-
So you're saying that we don't have the park that day then?
Meeting at a restaurant would involve making a reservation for X amount of people (which we'll never know how many unless they all post up here that they're coming) or we don't get to sit together. Most restaurants won't want us all clogging up tables for 3+ hours as we carry on after we've finished eating. They wouldn't want the kids playing tag in the parking lot, nor would they want us setting up lawn chairs there, either. (Liability). This event is best held in a park, someone's property, or other space that encourages loitering.
-
what about a state park like pinco or codorus they have grills and the kids can run all over the place.
-
Jenn, Blues sound good for me. I can not think of a better way to show my support for "Go Topless Day" than to be topless in the woods.
-
I am up for trying some blues, I am looking for an excuse to try our the new wheels and tyres.
-
im on call that weekend so im out but my offer to host a non wheeling event is back on the table.
-
Just put on a 4" Long arm and looking to "break" it in, Blues is perfect, behind on installing my front locker. This is my first club ride, where do you meet up in the Rausch lot?
-
I'm going to try it again this month, I hope the valve stem caps come off this time :o
-
We will have 2 Jeeps on the trail! Are we grilling?
-
I am out due to unforeseen problem with driveshaft that has me very very very mad..... >:(
If everything goes well by next week I should have problem solved and will be going on Sat. May 21 for blues
-
Jenn, that stinks. One of these days both our rigs will be working at the same time.
Anyone else going, there will be 3 of us at the staging area by 8am. Look for a Silver Rubi, Khaki Rubi and White Cherokee.

I'm still in and bringing a co-worker with his Jeep.
-
Things have come up that mean that we will not be there tomorrow. Hope to get out on the 21st.
-
Had a good day. We had 7 Jeeps on this ride. A little foggy, sloppy, Keith was a great guide. We did all greens and blues. No serious carnage to speak of. A friend of mine, Thad, went along for his first trail ride. He did very well. I think we have a new member. And NO, no one was topless with all the drizzle and fog.
-
My cable ties held my throttle cable in place to make it home and then some, had a great time in the bad weather. I was able to break something so Im happy.
-
Thanks Keith for guiding for me! I am glad to hear you all had a good time.
