AX-15 compatibility ?
«
on:

Looking to swap an AX-15 tranny that was bolted to a 4.2 into a jeep with a 4.0 .
Does anyone know if the bell housing willl bolt up. Also it has the internal clutch slave cylinder. Will that still work?
Any help appreciated!

I believe the 4.2 and 4.0 have different bellhousings.
The 4.0 has a flywheel sensor on the top.
I would think you'de need some machining to mate the AX-15 to it.
