Matt is excited to get his Mickey Thompson wheels for the Sahara!!!  (raffle winners as well) -- he's going w/ the black ones...they should look sweet, but he's trying to figure out how to make them fit w/out spending too much money.  (they will make the tires stick out about 2 inches....      )

Lucent posted their figures yesterday and held off on the layoff that was supposed to be tomorrow....but they said they will revisit the situation Aug/Sept.....so still a waiting game....   

I hope if he needs surgery again that doesn't increase his chances of getting his pink slip.....

PA Jeeps Membership / Re: pa jeep membership??

We have members from VA, MD, PA, and NJ.  Just depends on how you work it!!!  Not only will you be privy to help out at the WORLDS BEST JEEP SHOW ON EARTH   , we have monthly trail rides, and numerous "club sponsored" events (bowling, snow tubing in Feb., trail rides)    We have monthly meetings in York--which some people travel to from Lancaster and other areas.  Club membership gets you discounts to certain jeep parts retailers, and you also get to enjoy the expertise of our membership when it comes to everything jeep!!!!

Tons of friendships made.......we try to offer something for everyone.  We're a large extended family!!!  You can come to a meeting sometime and see what we're all about if you'd like!!!    Our next Meeting is Sunday August 9th.

Someone was even nice enough to post on the YDR forum that:

"at least it's freedom of speech on this forum, if you goto the PA Jeeps forum and say anything negative they will just delete it"

(refering to the "bashing" we got on our own website from last year).......

But yes, it was another wonderful year, and it seems we get better at it every year.  Matt and I are proud to be a part of this wonderful organization!!!  Great people, great friends, great times!!!

I did post on the paper comments to at least have someone w/ a brain to comment!!  Of course they take that w/ a grain of salt...but we got our 2 cents in at least.  If you frequent YDR--there's always some JACKA$$E$ that have to voice their opinions (which they are entitled too) but they always have such a negative aspect.  I feel sorry for those kind of people who ridicule someone in the comments when they have been killed or victimized--just goes to show you no matter WHAT situation, you can never make everyone happy!!!  We had a great show this year.  I'm glad to be a part of the PA Jeeps organization!!!
