Shocks
« on: December 01, 2007, 03:03:28 pm »
Does anyone know what shocks were put on a 1978 CJ5 from the factory when new.  Some say blue Monroe and others tell me they were black but unsure of the make.  ???  Could anyone confirm between the two?

Thanks

My 78 "Golden Eagle" (Long since Gone...) was purchased new from the dealer and had Monroe's with "black boots". I was 15, Dad bought it with my money......Well, 3/4 of the money which I earned delivering newspapers. I paid him the remainder down the road to only have it declared "totalled" by the insurance company 8 months later. Damn, that was a sweet CJ too.

I'm pissed off now..........resized the photos 15 times and can't get them posted. Tells me to contact an administrator....Hell, I AM the damn administrator. Good lord, like I don't have enough troubles here at home, now they extend here.................

Well, trust me that it was a "cherry" CJ

I would pay money to see that! That would make for great entertainment at the Jeep show.
