« on: May 18, 2010, 10:49:41 pm »
I replaced the tranny in my jeep and transfercase, the old tc had a cable speed sensor, the new one had a electric one. I replaced the electric one with a cable speed sensor, and its not reading. My one friend told me I can change electric over to cable, is that true? Or am I doing sumtin wrong?

Changed the fuel pump and it fixed my problem, she gets and goes like a bat out of hell. All I got left to do to it is put the interior back together, finish my exhaust, add a few quarts of tranny fluid, cut my door hinges so I can go doorless, and mount some truck mirrors on my fenders so the cops dont bother me. And get it inspected then I can drive it everyday. :D

Got a new fuel pump for the Cherokee, hoping that fixes my problem. Seems like its not getting enough fuel, it cuts out when you give it gas.

No, no, your not getting it, the Input shaft that goes into the back of the transmission is 21 spline, the shaft on the tranny is 23 spline, the transfer case wont bolt up to the back of the tranny.

The last tune up I did on my Jeep, all I did was go to Auto Zone, and get there spark plugs and wires. Now I didn't buy the CHEAP ones, I bought good ones, and my Jeep ran good after that.

I was told the 21 spline shaft out of the 1990 Tranny, wont bolt into the 1994 tranny.

Alright the tranny and transfer case  out of the 1990 is 21 spline, and the tranny out of the 1994 is 23 spline, would I just be able to get a new intput shaft that is 23 spline, and change the 21 spline over to 23 on the transfer case?

*EDIT*

Alright I did some research and found this, http://4x4trailhunters.com/tech/read/20 If I get the parts, would someone be willing to change the parts over for me? Im willing to pay, I just need to know what it would cost to get it done.

The 94 Tranny came out of a 4.0L HO-Motor, the 90 tranny is not HO, but is a 4.0L. I was just wondering if the torque converter and tranny would bolt up without any problems.

After I sold my last Cherokee, thats when I found out it had milky oil, all I did was buy a Head Gasket kit for it, which had all the gaskets, and the guy replaced it, and the milky oil went away. He was leaking coolant into the oil.
