Ok Jeep peeps we always talk about going to shoot our guns......
Let's try to put some days together to go to the range. Maybe the winter would be better since there is less going on in colder months.
Post your ideas and suggestions on where we can all meet and shoot up some targets.

we have a public range up this way rifle and pistol, but pa requires you have a valid hunting license or range permit, we belong to a local gun club but have limits on how many nonmembers we can bring. but there are ways around both.

Where I go it's indoor, and it's $18.00 per half hour. Id be interested in going if you find a place.

If Hillbilly is talking about West Shore, Colleen n I shoot IDPA there so we could get 2 people in (for our Friends its only ONNNNNE DOLLLLAR...) We do have to make are there's nothing going on the day we go. The 1st Sunday is an IDPA match n the pistol ranges are closed. The outdoor ranges open @ 08:00. Of course, nice n sunny Saturdays there's usually a good crowd, so a early Sunday morn is usually good. there's a good range with 2 racks of steel plates, that's a fun one.

We have a range at Rausch Creek we could hook you guys up with that you can shoot whatever you would like. No memberships involved just a small fee per person and schedule a day. Bring your own guns or you can use ours for a fee. Contact me at kyle@rc4x4.org if you are interested.

(tattoo) Jack ,
do you shoot steel plates with jacketed bullets or must you use ALL LEAD ? We must use all lead on steel . (S.A.S.S.) rules .

I don't see why not Bob. BUT... I'll have to go back n read the range rules again, but I do know u can't shoot Jacketed in the indoor range, but that has to do with the backstop. The steel plates, at the pistol range I was refering to are about 3/8" or thicker as are the reactives on Range #1. I don't shoot Jacketed either, but rather Plated or Lead. I do see that most of the steels u guys use for SASS are pretty thin in comparison and you guys shoot at them a little closer then IDPA shooters do, at least, for the most part. Do you shoot up @ WSSA and do ya cast ur own bullets? I don't, I get mine from commercial guys, Bayou Bullets and precision bullets. The prices are good and the quality is high.

Jack as I read WSSA's "RANGE RULES APPLYING TO THE INDOOR RANGE (INCLUDING AND IN ADDITION TO THOSE ABOVE)"
Section 7. is not clear to me, the part in question reads "ammunition constraint outlined in Section 2, Para 4, Part D shown above .
Where above ??? Your Range Rules Committee may want to look at this Section 7. it also states copper jacketed projectiles may be used on the indoor range , but not hollow points . I shoot at the Jefferson Rifle Club on Snyder Mill Rd. and cast my own bullets .
P.S. not a gamer.

I don't play videos either... :D

Jacketed or lead-- paper or steel, I'm still getting used to the higher prices then when I shot alot 15 years ago. As for a range day I'm hoping when the date is set I will be able to make it.
Ted
Jack, I'm going back on 40hrs so the day thing is on hold, we'll bang them up soon.

You might want to work on ur wrist/hand strength, that little pistol could be a bit snappy. Have Dave give ya hints on how that could be accomplished.. :o
