Technical Advice and Questions / Re: SYE suggestions

if youre building an xj get this book high performance jeep cherokee xj builders guide by eric zappe you can fet it at amazon for about $15 and its worth 20 times that and im guessing you havent been under yours yet because the front dshaft is about 28" long and the rear is about 40+" if you use an sye in eliminates about 3" increasing the distance there is no way it would work unless you were having one built and using the double cardan and slip from a front dshaft which is what i plan on doing.  theres no location in your profile or id suggest someone to help you out but mt zion 4 wd in dover are a good choice  hope this helped   thnks

like jack said going straight is easy you go around a corner and man what a noise. try a spool sorta the same thing, there cheaper than a locker and you can go back if you dont like it, if its just traction try some sandbags     it is a four wheel drive    right?

Technical Advice and Questions / Re: rough country or rusty's lift kit?
« on: December 11, 2008, 04:39:59 pm »
i beat the snot out of my xj 6.5 total lift 4.5 rc and 2 daystar coil spacers and shackles and i am very pleased with the lift and have no worries about the lift the only problem i have ever had with it (been 10 months now) was a bad set of control arm bushings, they had a recall on them but were replaced fast and free and it was alot of lift companies had the same recall so no biggie there. i dont know about "easy" black thats more driver than lift. you can break something or get stuck on an easy blue ( or get stuck in a puddle)

i can speak for the xj rough country lift and rustys lift both were of the same quality and similar price i went with the rc lift because the shipping was $40 from topguncustomz but $155 from rc and rustys was $162 figure what i save in shipping goes elsewhere in the jeep.and as far as mt zion there great people and work with you even if you just stop by to bs

okay first things first the complaint was a valid complaint the guys neighbors kids run their 125 cc db constantly (hours on end, nerve racking) the rest of it was bs but thankfully it was not taken lying down. the township was flooded with petitions, emails, phone calls, and the like and it was decided to kill the bill before it got anywhere its not completely dead the person who filed the complaint the township chairman and a spokesman for the people are going to see what can be done about the annoyance/noise law instaed of drafting a new uncalled for law. good to see a couple jeepers from us and rausch made it to this. there had to be over 100 concerned citizens packed into this little 30 x 30 room but everyone counts. and made the difference.
