Much thanks to you both - it's never easy, is it?   :D

Hmm.... I don't think that going through the driver's side will solve it though.
Thank you for checking though -  I will continue to try and research. I did try looking on the internet and couldn't find anything, but thought that perhaps I was not putting the right search criteria in :-\
Would have liked to have had a little more space to stand in while putting a baby in the carseat & I remembered how the seats in his old wrangler worked.

Technical Advice and Questions / Can the front passenger seat be modified?
« on: September 02, 2012, 09:35:55 pm »
Is it possible to modify a front passenger seat for a 2 door, 2010 JK?
I want to be able to get in and out of the backseat easier -
My daughter is going to have a baby, and I have discovered that the front seats do not slide front as far as they used to. They also do not lift in the same way that my husband's old wrangler did.
Kinda funny when I bought the JK it had 3000 mi on it and I asked why would someone dump such an awesome ride, especially after he put really nice rims and tires on it? Saleman told me that the guy ended up having to put a car seat in it and had issues. Ha - I said, not a problem... no car seats in my future!!! Bummer, I now have to put a carseat in it (Karma, perhaps?), and my parts aren't as nimble as they used to be  - getting in out out of the back with a baby is going to stink.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Good to meet you all!

Thank you for the "welcome", and to answer your question Angie ...
No off road yet, I am a pansy  8)
It was taken back to Cold Springs & Hawk Watch at Ft. Indiantown Gap when I first bought it, but that really doesn't count because there is a road there. It may be a nasty, full of holes, dirt/stone road, but it is still a road.

So far, I am content with driving it. I average 53 miles p/day, so it may not get a "workout" like it was meant to, but it does get driven.

I love the - Just Empty Every Pocket - awesome

Seriously, I have driven a Saab Sonnett, VW Bug, Fiat Wagon, Buick Regal, Toyota Celica, Camry Hybrid and a Jetta TDI, and have always been afraid to drive something like the Jeep, (my son calls me Cap'n Leadfoot) in fear that I would end up doing a "turtle" in a field... but I have surprised myself and adjusted rather well - no fear of speeding tickets now . lol. Anyway, I saw it on the lot, took it for a test drive, the salesman left me have it for 2 days and needless to say.. the TDI was history.

Hi everyone,
This is the 1st forum I have ever joined, I don't even use Facebook or Twitter. So I would like to thank everyone ahead of time for their patience :)
Introductions are tough - What to say???
My name is Angi and
I have had my JK since last November. It is the 1st 4wd that I have ever owned, and I am old enough to have had quite a few vehicles.
I love my Jeep...
